At BCISB we empower every student to become critical, creative, collaborative leaders for worldwide communities.
British Columbia’s curriculum is being redesigned to respond to the demanding world our students are entering. Transformation in curriculum will help teachers create learning environments that are both engaging and personalized for students. At the heart of British Columbia’s redesigned curriculum are core competencies.Core competencies are sets of intellectual, personal, and social and emotional proficiencies that all students need to develop in order to engage in deep learning and life-long learning.
Both parents and children appreciate the warm caring community that is BCISB. Our campus is modern, being built in 2007 and we have recently had additions of a purpose built gymnasium and soon a five-lane swimming pool. We have both indoor and outdoor playgrounds, an extensive library, music, art and drama studios. Our facilities ensure the best for learning and development.
BCISB launched successfully in Thailand on September 3rd, 2007. We are a small sized Canadian international school offering students the curriculum from the province of British Columbia. We are part of a group of 40 British Columbia Offshore schools worldwide located in China, Columbia, France, Japan, Qatar, and the UAE. Located near the up and coming business district of Bang Wa, we are easily reachable by the BTS on the Silom Line and the MRT Blue Line Extension.
In 2019- 2020 we will be undergoing WASC accreditation. The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC), a world-renowned accrediting association and one of the six regional accrediting agencies in the United States, works closely with the Office of Overseas Schools under the U.S. Department of State. ACS WASC provides assistance to schools worldwide, primarily in California, Hawaii, Guam, Asia, the Pacific Region, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
